The MAV Cluster has presented 12 collaborative innovation projects with the participation of 52 organizations, 22 of which are members of the association. Among the participants are 32 SMEs, 9 start-up companies, 5 large companies, 6 research centers and universities, as well as 10 clusters from all over the territory.

The Agency for Business Competitiveness (ACCIÓ) of the Government of Catalonia and the Ministry of Industry and Tourism (MINTUR) of the Government of Spain have allocated, for the year 2024, €3,000,000 and €9,711,848, respectively, for the accredited clusters of the Catalonia Clusters and Agrupaciones Empresariales Innovadoras programs. These funds are intended to promote innovation projects and improve the competitiveness of companies.

The projects presented by the MAV Cluster are framed in sectors such as construction, mobility, health, fashion and energy, areas where advanced materials are key to the development of new products and processes, guaranteeing innovation, sustainability and digitization. The initiatives include the development of bio-based materials, the functionalization of materials to obtain improved properties, the improvement of the traceability of materials and the creation of new manufacturing processes.

With a total budget of more than 2.9 million euros, public aid in excess of 2.2 million euros has been requested. The resolution of the projects is scheduled for the autumn of 2024.

The MAV Cluster promotes projects at Catalan and state level, fostering synergies between organizations and creating consortia that offer comprehensive management of each project.

The aim is to improve the competitiveness of the advanced materials sector and its technologies within the industrial fabric. With its leadership in public-private collaboration, the MAV Cluster is consolidating itself as a key player in the promotion of strategic projects that promote innovation, sustainability and business transformation.
